Sunday April 30th
Thank you to our 2017 contributors!
Dame It! -- the "best time ever" fundraiser -- returns April 30!
Join us from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, April 30, when the Minnesota chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier throws a spotlight on Twin Cities women chefs, while also raising funds for two worthy causes: local culinary students and the youth gardening project, Urban Roots. It’s a party, Dame It!, with a Taste Around at Loring Social, 1629 Hennepin Ave. in Minneapolis.
About Les Dames
Les Dames d’Escoffier is an international philanthropic organization of women in food, beverage and hospitality whose mission is to help educate and mentor women in those fields. Last year's event raised more than $10,000, enabling LDEI to provide $5,000 in scholarships to culinary students, fund two paid internships with Urban Roots and donate another $1,000 to their cause.
About the event
Some of the Twin Cities’ most creative kitchens are led by women chefs. They delight us with their skills, but also inspire young women pursuing culinary careers. A wide variety of women chefs and local purveyors will offer a delicious array of small plates, wine tastings, craft cocktails, mocktails and sweets. A silent auction will offer everyone the chance to leave with trips, classes, restaurant meals, culinary gear and more. Plus, you get to rub elbows and talk shop with some of the Twin Cities best foodies!
Tickets are available for $85 for the general public, of which $45 is tax deductible.
Featured chefs are listed under the food tab; Follow us on our Dame It page on Facebook.
